Whittlebury Parish Council represents the community and promotes the interests of our village. The parish council's responsibilities include street lighting, footpaths, bridleways, roads and verges. The parish council also expresses views on planning applications. Parish councillors exercise their powers on behalf of the village. Whittlebury Parish Council is the sole trustee of the Reading Room, our village hall.
To finance the Parish Council's activities a levy called the precept is added to your Council Tax.
Whittlebury Parish Council meets in the Reading Room every 3rd Thursday of the month. Residents are welcome to attend any meeting, and a short period of time is usually allocated for residents to raise any issues.

Special meetings may be called from time to time to comment on a planning application, so that these can be submitted to South Northamptonshire Council before the deadline.
